Baby Dragon 01

This was an entry to the now seemingly defunct IMAF character design competition. A tiny baby lung, or chinese dragon. I think I gave him some ridiculous name like "Young Lung Super D Dragon". I loved how oriental dragon's powers were water based- the opposite to the western fire-breathing dragon. Anyway, there are five pics, so get used to this guy. He's here for the week!

Grim Stein

A bit grim. Yet another version. I never get bored of drawing the creature, but I promise I'll be finished with him by the end of the week.

Frankie Stein

I loved Frankie Stein as a kid and followed his adventures in Whoopee! He was created by the sublime Ken Reid but I am much more familiar with the incarnation of the character drawn by the late great Robert Nixon.

So my version will never be as good as those guys, but it was fun to do.

Miss Frankenstein

You can tell this was done a while ago- she's got Buffalo-style Spice Girl shoes. I think I may have sent this to Fortean Times looking for employment. I am still eagerly waiting for their reply. I used this character in the first Hairy Mary book. A giant cake knocked her head off.

Portfolio Week 05

Here's a few samples I've produced for the educational market. The first spread is on Reincarnation (featuring Shakespeare, The Captain of the Titanic, Anastasia, Alexander the Great and Marie Antoinette) and the second is about camouflage. They both appear in the book Do Not Open published by Dorling Kindersley.

The T-Rex fight is from a pull out comic section of the Dinosaurium Book, by the same publisher.
